Some things will exit the workshop to find themselves just hanging around in use, but aren’t really memorable. Others blur the lines between being a piece of furniture and a sculpture, so those are typically the items featured on display here. This gallery consists of high-end, hand-crafted wood pieces where extra effort was made in construction beyond what would be expected for a standard commission, all still being talked about by our woodworkers months after delivery.
Nothing on this page came from a catalog template. Every piece started as raw hardwood and a question worth answering: What happens if we try something nobody’s asked for yet?
Think of this less as a product page and more as a running record of what’s possible when material, craftsmanship, and a little stubbornness collide.
Each entry in this wood furniture catalog is limited by nature; once a slab or stone inlay is used, that exact combination doesn’t come back.
Signature Works items are very different from standard commission furniture. The focus of standard commission items is to solve a very specific problem (e.g., an 8-person dining table, a desk for the home office); however, Signature Works items are developed as an experimental process to test high-end wood furniture designs and their associated elements (e.g., new inlay techniques, unusual material combinations, and lighting embedded in the wood).Β If you’re not sure exactly what you want yet, this is the best place to start looking.
Plenty of clients arrive without a fixed idea, just a sense that they want something nobody else has. That’s exactly what this page is for. Browse the collection, note what pulls your attention, a copper inlay, a stone centerpiece, a particular slab’s grain, and bring it into your own consultation as a starting point rather than a final answer.
Not exactly, most signature pieces use one-of-a-kind slabs or inlays that can’t be duplicated. We can build something inspired by the same style using a comparable material.
Availability varies by piece. Use the “Add to Basket” option to inquire, and our team will confirm current stock or discuss a similar custom build.
These pieces often incorporate experimental techniques, like embedded lighting or stone inlay, that go beyond our standard table and desk offerings.
Absolutely, many clients do exactly that, referencing a specific finish, base, or inlay style as the starting point for their own commission.
